Think Education launched an exciting new graduate initiative aimed to cultivate further innovation and ingenuity among our alumni.

In December 2014, Think Education launched an exciting new graduate initiative aimed to cultivate further innovation and ingenuity among our alumni. The inaugural Think Education Alumni Grant was awarded to eight recent graduates, providing $1000 to help them “change their world”.

We caught up with one of the winners, CATC Design School graduate Jessica Viscarde.

She describes The Eclectic Creative Studio, as ‘a boutique design studio that strives to provide an approachable and friendly journey of creative inspiration’. With plans to hire a graphic designer, she hopes that TEC Studio will become a one-stop design studio attracting both interior and graphic design clientele.

We asked Jessica how the grant has helped the project so far:

The Eclectic Creative Studio has been full steam ahead this January – I had predicted a slower start, but I was surely wrong, but busy is good for a small business. I was asked to speak at the CATC Open day in Melbourne about my journey during CATC and since graduating and I spoke to a room of prospective students.

I am currently working on an interior design project and busily getting paperwork and price schedules in order for the year ahead. I have been dealing with many PR and Client enquiries which is good and I am working hard on maintaining a work/life balance which is hard when you’re running your own business, and you are working from a home studio.

We wish Jessica and TEC Studio all the best for the future!
