Bill Clinton Delivers Address Outlining His Vision for Global Education
Think Education is part of Laureate International Universities, a leading international network of quality, innovative higher education institutions. The Laureate network spans more than 75 accredited campus-based and online universities with over 900,000 students in 29 countries across the world, and former US President Bill Clinton as Honorary Chancellor.
Laureate Australia comprises Think Education, Torrens University Australia and Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School.
The launch of Torrens University Australia, and the inaugural address by the Honorary Chancellor of Laureate International Universities, President Bill Clinton, took place at the Adelaide Festival Centre on Thursday 24 July, 2014.
The event was well attended by members of staff, students from across all institutions and faculties and VIP industry guests and dignitaries.
Joining President Clinton on the stage to speak about the importance of education was Linda Brown, CEO of Think Education, CEO of Laureate Australia and President of Torrens University, the Federal Justice Minister Michael Keenan, the Premier of South Australia Jay Weatherill and the Chancellor of Torrens University Michael Mann.
President Clinton gave a truly engaging presentation about his views on the future of education, and shared with us some of his personal experiences with the people who have inspired him, including Nelson Mandela.
