A degree from Southern School of Natural Therapies trains you to become a Chinese Medicine Practitioner, by providing the skills to treat the physical, mental and emotional states of a person to cure illness and boost well-being.

Chinese Medicine has evolved over the last two thousand years and embraces acupuncture, medicinal therapy and massage. It is based on the belief that disease occurs when the healthy balance of Yin and Yang is affected. It views the relationship between the mind, body and spirit as an integral part of the disease pattern and restoration of health.

Learn how illness is due to an imbalance of of energy or 'vital force', commonly defined as Qi. Identify disharmony in the body and find ways to assist its natural state of well-being. Understand the triggers to poor health, such as environmental factors, pathogens, dietary irregularities and stress-related emotional problems.
