Think Education has a history of strong partnerships with leading industry organisations. Our students benefit from workplace experience, internships, sponsorships, guest lectures and industry insights giving them a significant advantage and foot in the door of their chosen career.
At Think Education, arming our students with industry knowledge and experience – before they graduate - is imperative to our goal to shake up the way education is delivered.
Health and hospitality students studying with Think Education get valuable insights into their industry through our colleges’ Wellbeing Centres – real clinics where students deliver services under guidance from qualified practitioners – and William Blue Dining – an award-winning, student-run restaurant in North Sydney.
At Billy Blue we run the Design Centre. This lets students work in a real agency environment with real-world clients producing video content for Think Education and external clients through our Media Production Unit.
Through APM’s industry placement program I put my classroom theories into practice and gained valuable experience in event management.
Compared to other places, the staff had so many industry contacts and I could see there was a lot of opportunity. I jumped at the opportunity last year to complete my internship as an Operations Executive with Brand Events.
One of the things that drew me to the course were the opportunities to work with some of Sydney’s leading sporting teams. I felt my course was well-weighted between the practical and theoretical content.
I chose Billy Blue because we don’t just work with typical lecturers; we actually work with people in the industry. They give us constructive criticism and quality feedback on our work.
What’s wonderful about William Blue students is the level of preparedness that they possess when they graduate or come to work with us on an industry work experience placement.
Many of the students that have worked with us have gained valuable industry experience and introductions and, in many cases, have found full or part-time work in their chosen field as a result.
ACNT has contributed to raising standards, training people and building links between those individuals and organisations who have an interest in a more natural approach to health.
Without fail the interns we’ve taken on from Billy Blue have shown an incredible degree of enterprise, energy, enthusiasm and creativity.
Some of Blinc’s most talented rookies have been graduates of APM.
Think Education is always looking for new relationships with industry partners across design, hospitality, business and health and wellbeing. If you’re interested in working with our students (and nabbing them before they graduate), we’d love to hear from you.
