Lydia undertook careful research when looking for a course that would be the first step in her future career. Her research showed that ANCB had an excellent reputation in all the elements that make up beauty and spa studies.
Lydia knew she had found the right place when she learned that ANCB is the largest CIDESCO-accredited school in Australia, providing all the training and examinations for beauty therapists to earn this highly coveted international certificate.
“What I like the most about studying at ACNT are the lecturers. They all have extensive experience in the industry and I enjoyed very much learning from them day to day. They are very professional in their areas of expertise but also helpful in giving career advice and help build job seeking skills.” Lydia’s advice to future students, “Study very hard and remember all of the details you learn during practical training and clinical hours at ANCB”. It is the Wellbeing Clinic facility at ANCB that provided her with the most fulfilling experience, as she was able to apply her knowledge into a practical, client-facing environment.
This experience combined with her skills was all she needed to work in the real world. Lydia is currently working as a spa therapist at Chi Spa in the Shangri-La Hotel by Circular Quay, which has a reputation for being one of the most luxurious spas in Sydney.
