Kath is known as an experienced and innovative manager in tertiary education, having led large strategic educational initiatives, and possesses strong teaching and learning leadership skills. She most recently displayed these qualities as Dean of VET College at Victoria University, a dual sector University in Melbourne.
Tracy has a wide range of experience, skills and knowledge of the VET sector, stemming from 11 years of training, assessment and managerial roles. She also has first-hand experience of running her own counselling service, where she ran workshops for a local women’s refuge, TAFE and worked on domestic violence and child protection issues.
John lectures at JNI in Psychoses & CBT. He is also a senior lecturer in Psychology at Macquarie University, where he is the Director of the Behavioural Disorders Research Unit & the Health & Anxiety Clinic. John has had extensive experience as a clinical psychologist with a wide variety of clients.
JNI grew out of the Relationship Development Centre which was founded in 1978 in Sydney by Dr David Jansen. Dr Jansen was co-founder of the California Family Study Centre in Los Angeles, now the Phillips Graduate Institute, a large graduate training centre for marriage and family counsellors. In 1981 Dr Jansen was joined by Margaret Newman and together they developed the Jansen Newman Institute into the prestigious education and training provider it is today.
